Excellent! Thanks. It works --- almost. I can now unmount /oldroot, but ...
The default ltsp-3.0 doesn't have /bin/dhclient - so I copied the one from the ltsp_initrd_kit that is used in the initial ram disk. I also had to copy over /etc/dhclient.conf from the old root. However, now I get: /etc/rc.local: /bin/dhclient: No such file or directory I get similar behavior when I try to execute this on the server. I can cat and stat the file, but I cannot exec, or ldd it. strace shows it failing in the exec with the error "No such file or directory". Here is the stat: File: "dhclient" Size: 105548 Blocks: 216 IO Block: 4096 Regular File Device: 1641h/5697d Inode: 76867 Links: 1 Access: (0755/-rwxr-xr-x) Uid: ( 0/ root) Gid: ( 0/ root) Access: Mon Apr 8 02:13:13 2002 Modify: Mon Mar 4 20:07:50 2002 Change: Fri Apr 5 15:26:31 2002 Thanks again. -Kenny BTW: I assume this worked under 2.4 because pivot_root re-roots all processes? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
