Thank you for your attention
Could you tell me How is a way to identify ethernet step by step.
I thought the ethernet chip label number is :
AM79C960KC
331RSVE B1
@ 1992 AMD
and a bootrom chip number is :
9135-5103
LANF 7236
DEL 9333
I hope, I didn't wrong.
Please help me.
Stanley.
In case he's still in trouble,
=09=09To be able to help him, he should provide us with more
information. He says his 486SX25 would not boot with PXE or IMGGEN. What
error messages did he get? How did he set up his machine? Can something
useful be found in the logs?
He says he cannot identify the ethernet controller because it's built in
the mother board. Can he identify the network controller's chip on the
motherboard? I suppose 486SX25 are too old to have PCI, but does pnpdump
report anything about ethernet controllers? He should try to identify some
string on the mother board that could help in identifying it, or he should
check the ID strings of all the chips he sees on it, and then see which one=
is
an ethernet controller.
