Jim Once again thanks for your efficacious help in getting me going with the SiS630ET poblems.
Perhaps I should explain why I took such pains to persist with this motherboard. The issue is largely ecomonic With the weak exchange rate of the NZ dollar v the US dollar your TCX-1 $399 price equates to NZ$906 To understand what that implies, you should know that, in general, something that you pay a dollar for in the US, we pay 1 dollar for in NZ. (But when we travel we get only US44c for each US dollar we buy) A box with the ASUS board including power-supply, mouse and keyboard sourced from Taiwan costs NZ$507 The difference is, I think, due to exchange rates. Here Taiwanese sourced goods are half the US price. Of course, we are not conparing apples with apples. Your TCX-1 is much smaller and more suited to the task. I still have some work to do with my solution. The machine I have just got working has a CPU fan and a power-supply fan in a standard micro-ATX case. I am hoping to find an alternative fanless power supply, and run the CPU (a Celeron 366 MHz) fanless, and maybe a smaller box.
