Yes! And I have been really pleased with the result.
With Jim McQ's help over the last hurdles I have it all working.
My last email on the topic gave a fairly turgid HOWTO for setting
it up. The most important detail was that you needed the initrd_kit
and had to boost the inode and block size parameters for the randisk.

My working ASUS Sis960ET Workstation has a standard Micro-ATX box
with 2 rather noisy fans.

My focus now is on trying to make a fanless version of the hardware.
I intend to try the VIA C3 CPU on the ASUS TUSI-M board.
The Asus website responded to our enquiry and said that the chip
is supported by the board provided you upgrade the BIOS to the
latest version. (Apparently this is not as difficult as it sounds).

The VIA C3 CPU is not distributed in NZ, so I am trying to import
one myself for testing. If there is any interest on the list, I
will report my findings.

A local manufacturer is willing to make up a fanles micro-ATX
power supply, but insists that I have to specify the current
requirements for each voltage line (+12v -12v +5v +3.3v).
When I get the VIA C3 chip I will get angineering friends to
put ammeters between the powersupply and the board while
it is running.

I am hoping to be able to build the final silent WS into a box
10" x 7" x 2" , probably with a separate power supply. My hope
is to be able to produce WS for about NZ$600 (about US$240)
(not counting screen, keyboard, or mouse).

If anyone has knowledge in either of these areas to share with
the list, I would be nost appreciative. In particular, anyone
with knowledge of the current drawn by a board running LTSP
is welcome to tell us!

Does anyone have a working 2.4.18-ltsp-pxe kernel with the

I cannot help here.
