Phil, The ltsp_kernel-3.0.3 package has a number of small problems, including a broken LPP setup.
So, if you really want the LPP, go back to the 3.0.1 kernel package which includes 'vmlinuz-2.4.9-ltsp-lpp-5'. Or, wait till I get a chance to put out a new kernel package. Jim.
