Hi, I am trying to load ltsp 3.0 kernel (vmlinuz-2.4.9-ltsp-5) onto a LNE100TX NIC (chipset 82C168, Netgear FA310TX). I read somewhere that this NIC has gone through several versions and is somewhat funky.
when netbooting, the workstation gets the DHCP address fine, then "hangs" when trying to load the kernel. I get: Loading 192.168.1.102:/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.9-ltsp-5 ....(NBI)...... <- here it "hangs" by not responding anymore. I do not know if it matters but there are 11 dots before it hangs (correspond to 11 blocks/bytes loaded?). I know TFTP server is working since I tried TFTP'ing the server from a Win98 PC and downloaded the kernel with no problems. Any ideas? Does it sound indeed like a kernel issue? thanks, Eitan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
