Sherfu, i don't know which xterm you are running to get to your hp, gnome, kde, whatever. the printing problem you have is caused by poor integration of local printing into the xterm. gnome fixed it by removig it completly. my suggestion is to change the print on the hp side from local to the jet direct. you need to define a jet direct printer on hp and it will work like a charm. i expect that baan will let you select system printer instead of local. julius
