the mac addresses that annoy you so much are needed to
differentiate hardware - different setups, printers, graphic card
modelines, etc. since you want to standarize on Jammin (excellent choice,
and there should be additional discount for 5000+ of them ;-) ), you don't
need them specified anywhere. the address of every workstation needs to be
in every bottserver's /etc/hosts file, but that's easy. julius
