1. You probably should get a lot more memory- it's cheap, and it's tasty when
EVERY user online opens a copy of Netscape (and there are others, like zombies,
running around until you kill'em.) And try Galeon- I've found it very well behaved
and it just might be what you're looking for.
2. Network speed is essential. If you're using 10-base-T, sure, it'll work, but
you want something that'll impress, not just work. (I'm guessing this is new, and you
already have doubters looking at why it's not EXACTLY like Microsoft. :)
If you're running 100-base-T, get someone to analyze it. There might be a 'snag'
in the connection quality that's keeping your speed down. Make sure to use SWITCHING
hubs, even though they're higher, but they'll lower the number of collisions and make
life a lot easier.
If you're still having trouble after this, it might be time to look at system
optimization- things like wether bus mastering is turned on, or indeed working, that
kinda thing.
