I didn't really read up on this part of the docs, however, the way I would
do it is by workstation name. Within dhcpd.conf you have to label each
machine connecting to the server, first by a common name, and then by its
MAC address. If you use the same name within the lts.conf file, then this
would be very similar to identifying it by MAC...

Just a thought...

Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] MAC addresses in lts.conf

Hi all,

I am trying to setup the lts.conf file to identify the different
work-station setups with their MAC addresses. According to the ltsp
documentation (section 2.4.3) this should be possible:

<QUOTE>
The lts.conf file has a simple syntax, that consists of multiple
sections. There is a default section called [default] and there can
be sections for individual workstations. The workstations can be
identified by hostname, IP address or MAC address.
</QUOTE>

However I cannot find any example of this kind of configuration. I
have tried some but with no luck. What is the correct syntax for using
the MAC address as the identifier in lts.conf?

Thanks a lot,
        Marijn Vriens.
