Dieter -

I cannot answer your questions about Crossover, except to say that
you cannot legally allow multiple users to use MS Office 2000
unless you have licenses for each user. This fact and the fact
that Crossover cannot not, and probably will not be able to use
Office XP means that you should first "sell" Open Office or
Star Office before giving into those who do not want to change.

Funny but they do not want to change, unless its a new version of
MS Office that they want to run. At which time they will use the
fact that Crossover cannot run Office XP against Linux and the
LTSP.

For the sake of these people as well as your school and you as
the administrator, do not give into the pressure of a few. I've
seen it over and over, those who are the most against leaving MS
are the most pleasantly surprised about well Star Office or Open
Office actually allow them to spend more time working rather
than swearing at their PC.

Hallo,

Some teachers in our school want use MS-Office - I'm the sysadm and want
to
use linux with the ltsp :-)

Now my question - when I install the crossover-office and then
MS-office2000
can severel pupils use this office at the same time? If this possible,
in
wich way I've to install the MS-office - as a network-installation or
the
"normal" installation for a standalone computer?

Thanks for helping
Dieter
