Mandar, Yes, we have used the LPP patch (Linux Progress Patch).
I didn't include that kernel in the latest ltsp_kernel package, because that kernel is based on the 2.4.18 kernel sources, and there isn't yet an LPP patch available for that kernel. But, if you can use the ltsp_kernel-3.0.1-i386.tgz kernel package, there is a kernel called vmlinuz-2.4.9-ltsp-lpp-5 that will give you that graphical boot screen.
