I have successfully used Etherboot with a couple of low end workstations with basic LAN cards. Am currently investigating and hope to make use of "thin client" hardware, where each CPU is basically a boxed laptop motherboard with no mechanical drives but do have a DiskOnChip on the motherboard along with onboard LAN, graphics, etc.
My problem in this regard is that the onboard LAN is an Intel EtherExpress Pro100B (chipset 82558) which does not appear to be supported by Etherboot or Rom-O-Matic. I haved tried both the eepro and eepro100 drivers and both cause the system to hang on boot. If anyone knows of an alternate method for the bootstrap which supports Intel EtherExpress Pro100B I'd be glad to hear from you. Thanks in advance, kind regards, Chas Venter. mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
