i'm planning on setting up an terminal server and i was wondering what distro
would make it easiest to run apps locally on the clients..

i mean, i have a terminal server on my mdk8.2 workstation and i get some sort
of library version error on my dumb terminal when i try to take xmms (and the
supporting libs) from my mdk8.2 rpm and send it to my dumb terminal to run..
i think it's something with glibc.. not sure.

error:

./xmms: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.2.3' not found (required by
/usr/lib/libgtk-1.2.so.0)

i did a ldd /usr/bin/xmms and copied all the libs it wanted but didn't
overwrite any of the libs that already existed in /opt/ltsp/i386/.

so i was wondering if there was a distro that i could use like that without
any hitches.. or is there some other way to make everything work seamlessly,
perhaps?
