This is one that's been bugging me for some time. I use gdm under RH7.1 with LTSP. If a user switches off a terminal, and then switches it on again shortly afterwards, the terminal boots up, and then sometimes the screen 'flashes' as if about to start the GUI about ten times before halting in text mode with the message: XDCMP fatal error: session declined Maximum number of open sessions from your host reached
This has been a minor irritation, but recently Mozilla has taken to hanging occasionally when people are using Google. A complete lock up - <Alt> <Ctrl> <Backspace> doesn't do anything - and when the user reboots the terminal they get the XDCMP error. This is remarkable persistent - kill -9 on all the users processes doesn't help; neither does restarting xdm. Has anyone any clues what's going on? A lock file somewhere?
