> How do you set KDM/XDM/GDM to run as a daemon for LTSP clients? For gdm: - Using gdmconfig, enable XDMCP and remove the auto-starting servers. or - Using a text editor, in gdm.conf, comment out any entry under '[servers]', and under '[xdmcp]' set 'Enable=true'.
However, xdmcp is most likely already enabled, and all you have to do is remove the X server entries. I don't know the specifics for xdm/kdm. BTW, if you ever want to start a _local_ X session (i.e. on the server), do this from your command line: /usr/X11R6/bin/X -query localhost & You will get an xdmcp login screen, as normal, on the first free virtual console. This is more flexible than startx (usually). To kill your X server, log out, then from the console enter: killall X -- Francis Avila ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
