Has anyone been able to get lbx or dxpc running with LTSP? I have some moderately powerful network-booting pc's as the "thin" clients (generally 200Mhz+ MMX processors, 64MB+ ram) and I would like to try and speed up the X sessions using some sort of compression system like lbx or dxpc.
The network is rather saturated, and you can really feel it on the X terminals during peak network usage. I feel as though the LTSP box and the clients are powerful enough to handle the extra load of compression. >From the looks of it, lbx seems to be a better choice over dxpc; it is part of XFree already. I'm just not sure how to configure the LTS box/clients to use lbx. I have found plenty of documentation about lbx itself, but not much about using it with xdcmp or anything. Any help is appreciated.
