This problem has come up a few times in the past.

I think the answer is to create a symlink from /opt/ltsp/i386 to 
/opt/ltsp/i386000
and add an entry in /etc/exports for /opt/ltsp/i386000

Seems like an ugly fix, but from what i've heard, it works.

I'd like to dig into this, but I don't have a w2k server to
play with, and i've got no interesting in buying one.
