It sounds as if you are not certain of where the lp-spooler runs.
The ONLY spooler is on the server, the windows machines have their own
spooler queue.

ESPECIALLY in a network of 350 machines do not hack-and-burn. Take
little steps, and do it right.

Talking to the port on the ltsp-ws allows direct printing to the printer
on (any) that ltsp-ws, but why would one do this?

If this scenario does not work for you, so be it, but for my system I
run the normal spooler on the server.

ws003 -- running on server -- prints to printer lp003

ws003 -- running on server -- prints to win-shared-printer
                                     (windows spooler arbitrates)

windows -- running on windows box -- prints to win-shared-printer

windows -- running on windows box -- prints to printer lp003

win4lin/ws003 -- on server -- prints to win-shared-printer

win4lin/ws003 -- on server -- prints to printer lp003

What case is not covered / does not work.
James
