Windows 2000's DHCP server seems to pad the data it sends to the clients with 0's.
So, you'll have to symlink the i386 export to i386000 and export that on the LTS
machine. This problem is mentioned very frequently in the list, might be worth
mentioning in some document somewhere.

There are other little things, like the hostname appears in hex on the client when you
are assigning hostnames. This can make specific options on a per-workstation basis a
little more tricky.

The best solution is to use a UNIX based DHCP server (ie BIND) because it works
flawlessly. Of course, this may not be an option for you.

Subject: Re: [Ltsp-discuss] Windows 2000 DHCP server

Use the DHCP options 66 and 67. Use 67 to specify the name of the boot image file
(ltsp kernel or PXE boot loader) and 66 for the IP address of the TFTP server. I
believe you may need PXELINUX to make this happen, assuming of course your clients are
using PXE boot ROMs.
Haven't tried this in a while so I can't comment muchmore...

Is there a way to make LTSP work with a Windows 2000 DHCP server?

Thanks for anybody's input...
