Hi !

I made some experiences with IBM PCs and Intel NICs
and like to share it with you:

IBM PC 330 + Realtek 8139(Etherboot) ...works fine
IBM PC 330 + Intel PRO/100S (PXE 2.0) ...works fine

IBM PC 730 + Realtek 8139(Etherboot) ...works fine

but:

IBM PC 730 + Intel PRO/100S (PXE 2.0) gives the following effect:

Client:

nfs: server 192.168.36.18 not responding, still trying
 nfs: server 192.168.36.18 OK

The final two lines cycle indefinitely .

Server, /var/log/messages :

Feb 13 16:18:36 thincity rpc.mountd: authenticated mount request from
 192.168.0.12:800 for /opt/ltsp/i386 (/opt/ltsp/i386)

I tried it with two IBM PCs 730 - both give the same results.
Maybe some BIOS tweaking or a BIOS Update will help, I didn't try.

Greetings,
Martin Herweg
