I know I have asked about this before .. But I have now got a protocol analyser on our network in an attempt to get some sort of figures/comparison going - but what to measure ??
The result I am looking for is : How does X measure up to Citrix/RDP/VNC ?? I know that the commercial systems perform better, but by how much ?? Are there any other remote protocols to use under Linux ?? In South Africa, typical dedicated connections are only 64Kb/s, and I am having to look at trying to get more than 6 people to work comfortably across this link (We currently use a mixture of RDP/ICA on Win2000 Servers) -- Regards, Adrian Snyman Tel: +27 11 397 1640 Cell +27 82 600 1211 /* Beat me, Whip me, Make me use Windows !! */ ================== The views expressed in this email are, unless otherwise stated, those of the author and not those of Supply Chain Services or its management.
