I'll be posting some of my work soon - which I did for the same sorta
purpose. I've already started (and am nearly completing) the management
software for an LTSP Server or Servers for that matter. I've also done code
for a clustered environment where you might have more that 1 terminal server
for load balancing or for redundancy. All this is configurable and managed
from the MMC. It offer very similar look and feel to the M$ alternative
thus I've written tools that work like the "Microsoft Active Directory Users
and Computers" and the "MS Terminal Services Manager" my desire was to make
the move/switch as brainless as possible for an Administrator or IT
Professional coming from and Windows 2000/.Net environment. This is why I
need the Logout User, Message User( I've been using the UNIX "write" command
together with kwrited but I'm not happy with the way its working - my write
something else some sort of messenger service) So the infrastructure is in
place and just a few modules left now...
So if anyone is interested in this project then lets chat and see what we
can come up with....
