Yes you are close.

The kernel has been downloaded.

Here's a few more things to check:

1)  Is the workstation listed in the /etc/hosts file

2)  Is your /etc/hosts.allow file setup correctly

3)  is the IP address of your server really 192.168.0.1 ?


Check those things out.  If you still need help, try popping
into the #ltsp irc channel on irc.openprojects.net.
