Thinking through this some more, I wanted to share the current architecture I have deployed. I have over 100 terminal services users accessing a Citrix farm, many via the public internet using VPN. With TS and/or Metaframe, bandwidth is not an issue (no performance gains or losses outside the 20K -25K bandwidth window per user) . . . all applications are running only on the server farm. Put another way, some of the users authenticate into the network using RAS and then activate their TS connection to the server farm and really cannot tell that they aren't running the applications on their boxes at home or on the road. Can I achieve the same performance in a Linux environment?

Bandwidth is application dependent - like all sizing questions, your best bet is to set up a small proof of concept and so some measurements.
