Stuart,

I think the USB->Etherenet adapter is really running at about
5mb/sec.  That could definately be why it is so slow.

Plus, the video is using the Vesa Xserver, which doesn't
have acceleration.

As for sound, I've got no idea if it will work.  You might
get lucky.
