Hi all

I'm having problems setting up a local printer (my first real attempt)...
well even problems with a network printer for that matter, but first
things first (i do know linuxprinting.org exists):

I added the lines to my lts.conf from the ltsp docs
PRINTER_0_DEVICE = /dev/lp0
PRINTER_0_TYPE = P

and I created a new jet direct with red hats printconf-tui utility,
entering the IP address etc.. of the thin-client the printer is connected
to (via its only LPT port). It's an Epson 860. No sign of a printer
being installed when I log into the workstation, and when i print a test
page from redhats util nothing happens (literally, it says it sent but
nothing happens). Did I miss a step maybe?

In case it helps, this is /var/log/messages (after the DHCP handshaking)
from workstation startup and my attempt at printing a "test" page.
