Try updating the kernel to 2.4.19-ltsp-1. There is an updated sis900
driver in that kernel, and i've heard reports from people that it works
better and supports more sis900 based cards.
That kernel is in the ltsp_kernel-3.0.5 package and you can
find a link to download that at
http://www.LTSP.org/instructions-3.0.html
Give that a whirl, and see if it clears up the problem.
