Michael,
        ThinkNics boot just fine from the network, I use them as
terminals. All you have to do is change bios setting to enable net boot.
At $250 they are expensive because of rather poor graphics chip.  If you
don't run them with Xvesa, the character apps look really fuzzy.
        If you twist my arm, I'll make a bunch of Via based boxes for you
;=) (I mean it, the company is in distribution business and building then
takes very little time.) The Via based terminal in Casetronic case is even
nicer than ThinkNic and on top of that is absolutely quiet and has
excellent graphics.
