xserver-xfree86 on the server is optional. > (attachement there are my conf files) > after i configured dhcp.conf, hosts, lts.conf a made a boot floppy 2 > config pcs. > one of them is a PI-166MHz,32MB, S3TRIO64V2/DX. it has got ip, server > ip, gateway, but write ok booting the kernel, and nothing happened > :( Don't know why. You could try another kernel (I don't recommend using the lpp ones, the hide info that could be relevant, and the don't work on all clients, and I think that they increase the non-swapable part of kernel.) > the second config is the same as the server. What do you mean? Does the second terminal have the same hardware as the server? > it has got ip, server ip, gateway, but write ok booting the kernel. > everything done. there is an x with ltsp.org and penguin, but waiting > the x-server. Sounds like you are using a kernel with the "linux progress patch" (-lpp). What is the name of the kernel you use for the clients? > i pressed ALT+F3 and there is a message. no config file > found. S3 cards are not supported by X 4.1, but by X 3.3.x and 4.2.99. You will have to use the latest release of the ltsp_x_core package to get X 4.2, older ones uses 4.1. -- Hans Ekbrand
