Hi. We're currently testing out LTSP (great project!), and hope someone can solve this problem:

How can we set up a default printer on a per-machine basis? Some of our clients are near network printer A, and some are near network printer B. We want to set those machine to default to the printer near them.
As I understand it, this involves setting the PRINTER variable (unless there is a different way to do it with CUPS, which I don't understand at all!)., which could be done in /etc/bashrc, or something like that. But it needs to be set on the _server_, whenever a user logs in from a particular client.

Since we use dhcp, a client might not keep the same IP address over time. The only thing that uniquely identifies the machine is the MAC address. The ideal place for us to put this setting would be in the lts.conf file. Any suggestions on how to implement this? Thanks!
