Interesting, but that's a different animal... what I want is removable storage 
for users to take with them from one terminal to another, and to their homes.  
Here are some examples:

I've read that they work fine in Linux, and are automatically mounted when 
inserted, but the issue, then, is if it will work from a terminal, and how to 
get it to mount automatically to the home dir of the user that's logged in to 
the terminal.
