I successfully built an LTSP cluster about two years ago, using LTSP 2.0. I've
tried using the same technology to install *both* 2.0 and 2.something, but have always
managed to get hung up on that change to etherboot ("Must have NIC specified in
Option-129" message.
Well, I'm about to take the plunge again- this time with a brand new "Jamin 125"
(Sweet unit with a silly name. See also the Whamo-10 Radio scanner from Regency
electronics, circa 1977). I look forward to installing this lil' dude on a Redhat 8
machine at my business partner's place, but I have concerns.
After fighting just to retrace my steps with the old stuff, does anyone have a
feel for how well this works nowdays?
I used to make R/C gliders; even though I was making the same kind of planes that
had flown before, it still weighed 2 pounds...and air doesn't. :) Each time I tried
the first flight of a new plane, I just had to be convinced.
(One such plane weighed 10 pounds. It was a strong as a surfboard; you could
almost jack-up a truck with it's wings...but it responded to the air SO much better
than the other, simpler, lighter planes. Isn't that ironic?)
I'm hoping that this is something (Redhat 8 + LTSP 3.x + Jammin 125) that works
well?
