WOW! This is great to know!

I'll certainly logon to www.disklessworkstations.com and look at the
purchasing/distribution options for "Southern Africa" The market is ripe
this side!

Just a side note:
I've never managed to get successfully NASD to work - I know there we
issues with Volume controls + kmixer/gnomemixer/aumix and I could only get
audio playback when I used the nas packaged tools - auplay, aurecord etc... I
read somewhere that ARTS supported OSS/ALSA/NAS/ESD for playback too but
cannot find any documentation - thus how are you using your multimedia app
through nasd? E.g. noatun/xmms/mplayer/kwave or gwave/ (my users will often
need to play back a soundclip from a presentation KPresenter or
StarOffice/OpenOffice presentation...

Lastly, (please bear with me)

I've got two similar terminals at the moment (similar to the jammin125) We
were distributing them for Visionbank.com They're Windows-Based-Terminals
with an Windows CE 3.0 (XP Embeded) soon to be .Net This terminals have
worked well and a much more cost effective compared to the NCD Thinstars.
Is there a way I can test this terminal with Linux? Surely it must be a
matter of a BIOS config - e.g. too bootup of NIC and obviously I need a tftp
server to server a compatible kernel.

This terminals (though with CE) on them and I'm keen to get the Jammin out
there too since they'll jell in well with most of our setups!

Thanks,

Sam

The Video chipset is the MediaGX (Geode) 5530. It is now well supported
by XFree86 4.2.99, using the new 'geode' driver.

You can attach a printer to the Jammin-125, and treat it as an HP
JetDirect printer. CUPS should have no problem printing to it.

Audio is supported with the cx5530 driver and nasd.

I've tested USB for printers, and it works fine. I've not
tried connecting a mouse to the usb port, but I've heard it
does work.
