Hi all, My current setup is some terminals and a server all with rtl8139-based nics, connected by a 3com dualspeed hub. Yesterday I put in a linksys ezxs88w switch to replace the hub.
However, performance is very poor, starting up a terminal takes some 10 minutes just to get the kernel tftp-ed and finally fails with the nfs-mount and such. Communication between 2 servers is also very slow. I've tried all kinds of settings with rset8139: full/half duplex, 10/100MB autonegotiation, NWAY/TX/RX, and such. What's wrong, what can I test or is the switch broke? grtx, Johan Romme ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
