Can anyone indicate how one is to get root
user privelidges on a client (ltsp server running nis).

I have configured the workstation for local_apps (although
I cannot get local_wm to work).

Having done this, I have all the NIS stuff working - but this
only extends to uid's > 500 - a security measure in ypserv.
I changed this in the yp Makefile (which I think is generally
a bad idea) and it still didn't work.

How does one get root on the client - can NIS serve out root passwords
or should the client get its root passwd when it starts up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Lee
