I just had a similar problem and I was missing the kernel module for lp0. Check the log file on the server and see if any messages were logged. Mine was complaining about the missing module.
The modules should be under (server view) /opt/ltsp/i386/lib/modules On the client (runlevel 3) see if /dev/lp0 exists Pete -- http://www.elbnet.com ELB Internet Service, Inc.
