your linux shouls already have ssh server, and scp is
secure copy (through ssh), here is a client for it:
http://freshmeat.net/projects/secpanel/?topic_id=20
and there are clients for macos
http://freshmeat.net/projects/fugussh/?topic_id=87%2C89
windows and text based clients for any os that has ssh
installed, so its quite a safe bet
