I have an Intel Professional WS (LP486DX33) as the diskless WS and SUSE 8.1 on the server. The workstation has a 3com 3c509b NIC and a boot floppy containing boot software from rom-o-matic.com. I was expecting the ws to boot into the graphical interface (KDE) but instead I get bash as noted below. I do get KDE logon screen from another ws /w syslink NIC w/ PXE bootrom connected to the same server. Does anyone have an idea. ---------- Building XF86Config file Building start_ws script Starting syslogd syslogd: syslogd: cannot write to remote file handle on192.168.0.1:514 bash-2.05# -------------- I have 16mb Ram on ws. Server is 168.192.0.1 WS is 168.192.0.3
