Hi I have installed ltsp on Redhat 7.3. It works fine. I booted thin client in level 3. I got Thin Client file systems
roots 8388350 3625480 4336952 46% / /dev/root 1970 1824 146 93% /oldroot 192.168.2.100:/opt/ltsp/i386 8388350 3625480 4336952 46% / /dev/ram 1003 33 970 3% /tmp Then I found the file in Thin Client /tmp/start_ws ---------------------------------------------------------------- #more /tmp/start_ws /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 -query 192.168.2.100 ---------------------------------------------------------------- Whre 192.168.2.100 is my DHCP Server IP address When I ran this command #sh /tmp/ws_start I got log in Screen but the host name is my Server name (everest 192.168.105.140) Not the Workstation hostname (WS001). Then I log in as regular root on Thinclient (Workstation). I found Workstation has SERVER FILE SYSTEM Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/hda3 8388560 3625484 4336952 46% / /dev/hda2 46668 13396 30863 31% /boot none 63284 0 63284 0% /dev/shm Here's my /etc/hosts (where client is the one in question): ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- 192.168.105.140 everest ( SERVER CONNECTED TO LAN) 192.168.2.100 server (DHCP) 192.168.2.1 ws001 192.168.2.2 ws002 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Here is my /etc/dhcpd.conf ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- host ws001 { hardware ethernet 00:04:75:9C:01:32; fixed-address 192.168.2.1; filename "/lts/vmlinuz-2.4.19-ltsp-1"; ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- Here is my more /etc/exports ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- /opt/ltsp/i386 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(ro,no_root_squash,sync) /var/opt/ltsp/swapfiles 192.168.2.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,async) Do you know why?
