What applications you run (assuming not local apps) will not alter the amount of network bandwidth required as that is dictated by the amount of changes to the desktop "picture" and the interaction of the user. I'm aware of thin client (Citrix) sites that run 700 stations. I see no reason that LTSP couldn't scale to that.
