Romain,

On your server take a look at the icewm menu system. To find out where it
is located on your particular distro do a:

find / -name menu

that will return all of the files called menu, but there shouldn't be too
many. It is here in my particular distro:

/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icewm/menu

I know that the new version (RedHat 8.0) version of icewm is a little
different as far as the menu system goes, but the format of the menu on the
older versions seems to be:

prog "Mozilla" /usr/share/icons/x.xpm /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla

the program identifier here would be the 'prog "Mozilla" ' Mozilla would
appear in the menu, then you have the path to the icon and finally the path
to the application. If the application does not exist in the path that you
list, it will not show up in the menu either.

Hope this helps!

Steve

Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] icewm

Hello,

I have trouble using icewm.

It works perfectly on the server monitor.

But on a LTSP client, there are no texts and no icons in the menu and
taskbar. Clicking on the "blinds" menus works, but I can't tell to my
users :

"the third one is mozilla, the seventh is OpenOffice, and forget the
rest" :-)

I have already asked a few months ago, with no response. Has anybody had
this problem since ?
Or has anybody an idea of solution ?
Gnome is now eating my server, so I need to switch to something
lighter.....

Thanks.

Romain.
