  Can you be more specific what you mean by "basic information?" The LTSP Web site 
(www.ltsp.org) can provide you with everything you need... what LTSP does, how to 
install it, etc.

  The best way I can think of to learn Linux that is both fun and easy is installing 
LTSP! :-) Kidding aside, O'Reilly's series of books is an excellent resource and the 
"Linux in A Nutshell" book is a good basic guide.

  Also I have noticed from people I know that also "wanted to learn Linux" they found 
it much easier to learn if they were setting up a machine with a purpose. The ones 
that were just setting up a box "to learn" without any real purpose kind of wandered
aimlessly after the initial install. The ones that needed to learn because they wanted 
a Web server or a LTSP box learned much more quickly because they had a focus and 
could tell when they were "done."
