Well, We made it back from New York after another successful Linux World.
We had an absolutely excellent turnout at our booth, both in terms of visitors checking out LTSP and volunteers helping out. The exhibit hall opened last Wednesday at 10:00am, and from about 10:01am until closing time at 4:00pm on Friday, the LTSP booth was swamped with people. While I walked around the show floor, I saw many booths where the booth workers were standing there talking to each other, with no visitors. There was NEVER a time in the LTSP booth where we didn't have visitors checking us out. The hall closed at 5:00pm on Wednesday and Thursday, and we still had people asking questions at 5:25 on both days. We had an excellent turnout for our LTSP dinner on Thursday. This event has really become a tradition for us. We found a great little Irish Tavern & Restaurant on 8th Ave between 45th and 46th streets called the 'Playwright'. 21 people in all, and it was just a blast. Here is a list of the people that I want to thank, for their help and support at Linux World last week: Ron Colcernian Jim Glutting Scott Balneaves Erick Tyack Ragnar Wisloff Glenn Jacobson David Leuser II Matthew O'Connor Lachlan Dunlop Chuck Liebow ted Kaczmarek Peter Billson John Tatum John Terpstra Marty Connor Pete Fratello Scott Collins Julius Szelagiewicz Ed Weinberg Some of these guys travelled great distances to be with us. For example, Ragnar Wisloff flew all the way from Norway, just to be with a bunch of guys he'd never met before. And a double thank you to Scott Balneaves, for a truly outstanding job in preparing the LTSP server for the booth, and giving his usual 110%. This was a great chance for a bunch of old friends to get together, and a lot of new friendships were forged. Now, it's time to start planning our trip San Francisco, for Linux world which will be the week of August 4th, 2003. Do I have any volunteers ?
