probably you might want to try web-based groupware; TWIG. http://twig.screwdriver.net/ ; Stanford University is using it.
For CAD software, LinuxCAD http://www.linuxcad.com/ is payware though. At SourceForge.net, you will come across FreeCAD, QCad and more. Probably within SourceForge have whatever you need, else do the Google. :-) > -----Original Message----- > From: Rudhuwan Abu Bakar [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, February 06, 2003 09:23 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [Ltsp-discuss] K12 software packages for LTSP > > > On Wed, 5 Feb 2003 16:04:41 -0800 (PST) > Ted Remillard <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > I'm working with a group who are creating a LTSP system to > be donated > > to a K12 school. > > > > We are installing Redhat 8, Openoffice, and ltsp 3.0 to create the > > LTSP server. > > > > What other packages/applications would also be useful for a K12 > > environment? > > > > Groupware? - intranet? > Database apps? -School Management System > CAD Software? > > -- > World Domination begins with configure && make && make install > http://opensource.mimos.my > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.NET email is sponsored by: > SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! > http://www.vasoftware.com > _____________________________________________________________________ > Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
