Hi all, I've been using LTSP since 2.08. I'm trying to add a new LTSP client with version 2.08 (cuz 3.0 is too big). It works, but it's extremely slow. The client side is a P133Mhz, 100Mbits ethernet with 16Megs only...
A couple of years ago, I was able to run LTSP on a 486 with 20Megs. of memory and 10Mbits ethernet. I don't understand why it's not working with a slightly faster machine now. Could it be that the network card is set to half duplex? The client's card is a DFE-530TX. When it boots up it shows 100Mbits at half duplex. Has anyone made LTSP work with P133 and 16Megs. of memory? Any hints is appreciated!
