I'm still struggling trying to get a window manager running.
Some more info: logging into the server via xdm --- no window manager.
so, I've spent most of the night reading through the Xdm man pages etc
etc, making sure that my .xsession is executable, but still I just get
an xterm in the upper left corner and a blue background. so there's
something screwy with the way xdm is set up on the box.
I'd really be grateful for some help
