Has anyone been successfull using the Intel PRO/1000 MT card with LTSP?

I have it booting from a floppy using etherboot 5.15 but can't seem to produce a usable kernel with e1000 support.  I would also like to put the lzpxe boot file on the LTSP server and add an if statement to the dhcpd.conf.  My only problem is that I don't know the vendor-class-identifier.  Can anyone provide this info or point to proper documentation?

After the kernel is loaded it reports that it can't find the NIC card and instructs me to use option-129 in the dhcpd.conf file.

When I try to use option-129, dhcpd tells me that this option is not supported and will not start.

Using the following:
Redhat 8.0 kernel 2.4.18-14
ltsp_core-3.0.7
ltsp_x_core-3.0.4-0
ltsp_x_fonts-3.0.0-0
