Hallo,

Please bear with me in case this has already been asked, but unfortunately
sourceforge's archives are not searchable.

I want to replace ltsp's telnet with an ssh client. I managed to collect
all the necessary libraries, but now I'm stuck with the following message
the ssh client prints out:

"You don't exist, go away!"

I traced it down to ssh.c, in which ssh tries to get a passwd struct and
fails. This seems to be connected to the fact that a "ls -la" does not
display login names for owner and group, but numbers. It seems to me that
neither /etc/passwd nor /etc/groups are correctly parsed. However,
/etc/nsswitch.conf does say "files" for both users and groups first.

Thanks in advance!
