Are you talking about the kernel messages ?

If you want to see them, here's what I suggest:

1)  Set RUNLEVEL = 3 in the lts.conf file.

2)  Boot the client.  You'll see all the messages fly by
    and eventually you'll get a bash prompt.

3)  Press Shift-PageUP, and scroll backwards through the messages.
  

Is that what you need ?
